For those coming from facebook and aren't as familiar with paragliding here are the answers to a few of the common questions 1)Yes we can go up, warm air rises, we get in it and ride it up. 2) Depending on conditions flights last from 10 minutes to 3+ hours, as long as you want. 3) It's not as scary as it may look. In fact, I do it for the peaceful feeling I get while in the air. If you want to fly tandem or take lessons check out Seattle Paragliding. I learned there and am now I'm flying tandems for them. In-Flight photos are half way down.

It was nice to be on launch however, Tiger was unusually quite as there were fewer pilots than usual, kind of nice. I took a quick 10 minute nap on launch after shooting some photos and then launched. It was my first flight with my new GoPro (hero 3). The quality is OK but I can't expect much from such a little camera. It's a bit too wide for me so I'll change that setting. Tomorrow I'm going to try the video portion.
