Marc recently sent out a few tweets about new students doing great things on a few special days. Stuck in my office I was envious. Today the weather started out overcast but later cleared.

When I arrived at the LZ the winds were out of the east and most of the veterans opted not to go up. A few students took the chance and were rewarded with 30+ minute flights. No matter, it was still good to be outside in the warm air with friends.

These were shot with my 50mm 1.4D lens. I shot on aperture priority with .5+ exposure compensation, spot metering. There was a thin layer of clouds diffusing most of the light but allowing some shadows, my favorite light so far.
